So.... yeah!
I know, it's been AGES! Can't expect me to catch you up on EVERYTHING that has happened since my last entry - it's just been THAT long!!
I can tell you that I HAVE been busy though! The tattoo convention was really awesome!! Got to see a lot of the artists that order from us, and I'd say about 80% of the artists were using our power supplies, so... YAY for Eikon!
The day wasn't TOO eventful. Once we got to Toronto we discovered that Cindy had left her wallet at the Tim Hortons in Belleville! So, Dan and I parked and stood outside of the car while Cindy and Cory ran over to TD to see if they could get her card replaced. While they were gone, Dan and I noticed these two "ladies" walking by (and don't get me wrong, they really WERE ladies). We didn't think too much of it, but then this car pulls in, and one of the girls goes over to the car, "negotiates" with the guy, and gets in the car! LMAO. PRICELESS! So, when Cindy and Cory came back a few minutes later, I RAN across the parking lot and told them about it. Needless to say, the were disappointed (to have missed the prositute getting picked up) and were also empty handed - the bank was closed!
We made our way to the convention and noticed posters everywhere stating the much music video awards were the same night. So, we made up our minds to go to that while we were in the big city as well.
We weren't at the convention for too long, and then just kinda toured around TO for a few hours, and then made our way to the MMVAs. Was pretty neat. CROWDED as hell, bit neat. We saw quite a few celebrities, including Simple Plan, Fallout Boy, Nelly Furtado, Reanna (I know, I'm spelling it wrong), Nick Lachey (I think that's right), and a couple others I think.
The next event that would stand out in my mind would have to be the weekend of Canada Day. Dan and I went up to visit with Kristi and George in Ottawa. Was GREAT to visit. I had never met Kristi - she was pretty damn cool - AND I hadn't seen George in YEARS.
We went to bed fairly early the Friday, and then Canada Day we wandered around downtown to check out the festivities. Lots of street preformers and MASSIVE crowds. Canada Day will never be the same after checking out how it's done in Ottawa. We had a couple of drinks at a nearby pub and then walked back to the apartment.
Kristi went to lay down (since she wasn't feeling well), so the three of us watched Dogma and then walked down town for the fireworks. I guess we left too late, because before we got too close to where we really wanted to be they started.
We ended up being able to see them pretty clearly from a side street, so we stayed where we were. Dan was holding me against him, and George was up on the sidewalk.
Everything was perfect. Then Dan put this box in my hand. I looked down at it, didn't think anything of it, and went back to watching the fireworks. Then Dan whispered "Marry me" in my ear. I turned around to face him and opened the ring box. My jaw dropped. Inside was a gorgeous ring. I couldn't say anything. I just kissed him. After about 5 minutes (and YES, I was speechless for 5 whole minutes - even Dan was shocked) Dan was like, "So, I take it that's a yes?" OF COURSE!! LOL
Came as QUITE the shock though! We were talking about getting engaged in another year. Guess Dan was just in the mall one day and was like, "I love her, and I want to spend the rest of my life with her". So, he bought that ring the same day and waited until Canada Day so it would be extra romantic.
The next day, the four of us went out for breakfast (well, Brunch) and then Dan and I drove to Trenton to tell my parents in person (well, my Dad and Debbie). We stopped at Wal-Mart quickly to see if Jeff was working first (which he was). I told him we had big news and then flashed my bling. He was surprised and really happy. It was great!
Then, we went to see the 'rents. When I told them we had big news, I guess Debbie thought we were pregnant. I flashed the ring and she started pretty much jumping up and down. Dad said his congratualations, and I know he was happy, but he said he knew it would happen sooner or later, so he wasn't too surprised.
We had dinner, and then drove back - as I had a movie date with Annie the same night. When we got to Annie's, I told her that we had big news, and she was like, "you're pregnant?" WHY? LOL
Told her we were getting married, and there was a round of hugs. When I got back from the movies, Dan and I called parents from out of town and told them the big news. We called Missy (my sister) who said it was awesome. Quick call - we hadn't had time to ourselves since we got engaged *wink*! Called his mom, who took it really well - we thought she would be happy, but crying. She was really surprised, but sounded SO happy right away!
When we called my Mom on the other hand, she didn't seem too happy about it. I don't know if she was just really surprised or what, but - yeah. She was like, "At least if I have to have a son in law, it's someone I've met". What kind of reaction IS that anyways!? I still haven't figured that out!
I can't remember the exact date, but sometime in early July, my Great Uncle Keith passed away. It was a rough couple of days. I was never really close with him, but... anyone that had every met the man would know exactly what I mean. He was just an amazing person who cared about everyone so much, and was so easy with his smiles. The night I found out, Dan took me out for Ben and Jerry's and then we went for a drive to Gan and back. It was so quiet. God, I love that boy. He is SO good to me. I didn't have to say a word.
The next day, I tried to go to work, and then had to leave because I could NOT stop the tears. Dan, was VERY concerned when he picked me up. I think I scared him, poor guy. He brought me home and just snuggled me until he had to go to work.
The funeral was Saturday. The service was great, although I was in tears for most of it. Dan held me all through it, kissing the top of my head. The minister was very kind, and the 3 family members that spoke had so many tremendous things to say. He was a great man, and the turn out would say more then I ever could. It was a small chapel, but all the pews were crammed full of people, there were people standing alongside the walls, and extra seats were in the aisle.
Was nice to see the family, but... circumstances were not so pleasent, as you can well imagine.
On the last weekend in July, we went whitewater rafting on the Ottawa River (as part of our 2 year anniversary which was July 27th!!) with some friends (Cindy, Kevin, Brad, Jess, and George). We camped at Cindy's tree plantation and had a great weekend!
Whitewater rafting was pretty fun! I was more nervous then I thought I would be when we approached the first rapid, but once we were down it, I couldn't wait to hit the next set!!
Dan and I had our anniversary dinner, which was great on the actual date of our 2 year anniversary. I made alfredo pasta with a sirloin steak for him, marinated salmon for myself, and veggies. And - we all know what happens on anniversaries, so... yeah ;)
The first weekend in August, we went to Dan's mom's cottage in Gooderham. It was a fantasic weekend. There had been a BAD windstorm (apparently they were actually classing it as a tornado!) a few days before, and there was still no power up there.
We had a nice chat with Cheri, and then went out on the fourwheeler to the property they are giving to us and just sat for a bit.
We had lunch with Terry and Cheri, and then they decided they were going to head back to Oshawa. They had had the generator running and had been unable to sleep for like 3 or 4 days!
We decided to have some fun in the trailer, and once we were done, we discovered the power had come back on!! LOL So, we called Dan's mom to tell her, but they didn't end up getting the message until they had made it all the way back to Oshawa - so they didn't come back.
Dan and I had a very relaxing weekend. Lots of time spent in the canoe, on the dock reading, around the fire talking and laughing, and, of course LOTS of sex. An amazing weekend, if I do say so myself.
The next weekend was my family picnic. We decided to make some plans with friends from Belleville and Trenton on the Saturday and then go to the picnic on Sunday.
So, we got to Belleville, picked up Damien (YAY DAMIEN!! MISS YOU!) and had some lunch. Although I hadn't seen him in YEARS things were the same. We had all our jokes and just laughed and chatted about stuff all through lunch. We hung out until Damien had to get dropped off at home and then headed back to Trenton.
My Dad was not feeling well, so we went and ran some errands for him, and then went over to Tamara and Phil's place.
We decided on pool, and made our way to Sticks and Stones. Tamara and I ended up chatting after 1 game, so the guys played a few more games, and then we went back and played the Napoleon Dynamite board game. Good times, let me tell you! I can't remember all the bizarre combinations we had to draw (had to do 2 animals mixed) but Dan and I totally kicked ass! LOL Good times! Tamara and Phil are a lot of fun... they shouldn't be so far away!
The picnic the next day was pretty fun. Matthew didn't make it, so that was a bit odd, but... still got to visit with the family, and eat all the delicious food everyone had brought. I think everyone had heard of our engagement, so... lots of congratulations.
I would have to say my least favorite part of the day was when Dan and my cousin Kyle picked me up and dumped me in the pool. I do NOT like being thrown or dropped. Falling scares me. Enough said. I was in tears for a good half hour after that. NOT a good thing.
The weekend AFTER that, Dan and I went to his Aunt Joanne's cottage. Didn't do too much. Read, played dominos, caught up with his aunt... had our fun. Was just nice and relaxing.
Cindy moved in sometime the following week! YAY CINDY! Matthew and I are still on good terms - just he was always staying at John's, and Cindy NEEDED to get out of Kevin 2's place!!
The last weekend of the month, my buddy Tom came up from Stirling. THAT was a good time! We didn't do too much all day Saturday... think we pretty much sat around all day. I know we went grocery shopping, and then Tom and I cracked up about placenta for a good half hour. Saturday NIGHT we had people over to drink and play games. A lot of people bailed last minute, which I was NOT impressed about.
Sejr and Brandon made an appearance for a couple hours from Trenton, so that was good! Hadn't seen them since I moved in my new place! We watched 40 year old virgin and then we all played this game called "things". Awesome game. Kevin calls it "the right game with the wrong people". Basically, you pick a card that says something like, "question you would ask the devil", and then everyone writes their answer down and throw it in this box. Then we read them all and try to guess who said what. It was VERY interesting! 'Specially when we got that one, and the one question was "was the sex good for you". LMAO good times, but I guess you really had to be there.
Then, we played the HIM drinking game. If you weren't there, you'll have to find out about it next time! Let's just leave it at we were all crammed on the couch and bopping around - and I was covered in liquor by the end - at least my pants. Then Dan and I went to "bed".
The next day, Cindy, Tom and I had a downtown adventure. We took him out for Thai - which he apparently craves now - and there is NO thai place in Stirling!! Muhahaha!
Not TOO much else happened downtown. We showed him all the fun shops and then walked back here and watched movies. We even had oatmeal and toast for dinner. It was fantastic! Not too long after we finished the 2nd movie, Dan was home, and we were on our way to Stirling to drop Tom off!
Hmmmmm
Not too much has happened since then, really. Cindy and I have brightened up the apartment with some painting YAY!
Work is going well... had my 3 month review and Geoff had nothing negative to say! YAY!
Dan and I have been checking out a lot of places for the wedding and I think I have decided that I want to have the wedding planned in 6 months so that I am not stressing about it. We're getting about 4 thousand from our parents for the wedding, so.... we're trying to budget for that much, and I think I can do it! YAY.
We went to Trenton Saturday for my Dad's birthday and just hung out with him for the day. Got to see my Uncle Randy (who I haven't seen in like 4 or 5 years!) which was awesome. Then Matthew and Cory and I came to Kingston and grabbed Cindy and Dan, stopped by Aida's to get her, John boy and Andrea and went to the homecoming party for a bit.
Was too damn tired to stay though. Cory had taken WAY too long to get us here, and I didn't feel too much like a party by the time we got there anyways (pretty close to 12:30).
My mom and her long time boyfriend have broken up, and she is now seeing another guy named Cameron. VERY happy for her - she deserves someone who spoils her the way he seems to be! YAY MOM!
Kinda pissed at a couple of friends right now... various reasons, and I don't feel too much like ranting. But - yeah! BLARGH!
Outta here!

Eikon and The Convention!!
Jun. 16th, 2006 | 11:08 pm
location: Couch again... bet you're stunned aren't ya??
mood:
chipper
music: Guns... boys are playing San Andres
My first week at Eikon is over :( I actually have a job that I like (although I haven't been up to much so far)!!!!! YAY!!
I'm not exactly SELLING equipment yet. I have just been researching LIKE MAD for the past week. If you can believe it (or even if you can't... 'cause it happened!!) I actually spent the ENTIRE day today checking out tattooing websites! Was a pretty fun day.
Got to know everyone I work with in my department a bit more, which was awesome. There are 5 of us, and all the girls are just a riot. They're always joking around and using sarcasm... I fit RIGHT in!! So, Melissa said something and burned me today and Diane was like, "Now's your chance!!" So I turned around and was like "Asshole!!!" LOL It's a work thing... guess I'm initiated now!!
I actually have my own extension and will be getting business cards!! WOOT!! Pretty cool if you ask me!!
All the big guys (my bosses... eep)were actually gone today, so... was even more chill then it usually is. Can't say I have much to report for today... so I MIGHT actually have a short entry for once! LMAO
One AWESOME thing about today was getting the memo about the Tattoo Convention in Toronto this weekend!! WOOT WOOT!! So Cindy and I immediately decide that we should go (hey, it's on Eikon) and start to plan how we're gonna get there.
Dan somehow managed to get the day off, so... we now have transportation and he was SO psyched to be invited to the convention!!! YAY CONVENTION!!! Cory is gonna be coming too, so... should be a fun roadtrip.
After work I walked to Dan's aunt and uncle's place (where I used to actually live) to make sure the cat was fed and chill out for a couple hours. I was more then a LITTLE surprised when Pat, Becca, Emily and Ewen arrived home after I had been there just over an hour. LOL So, their faces were pretty priceless, but I would have to say the best thing that happened after work was when I was in Home Sense (just to kill time) and all of a sudden this guy like pops out of the woodwork and starts asking me like a MILLION questions about needing help and if I needed help to just come on over and ask. I was just thinking "Woah... either he thinks I'm a shoplifter, or he's hitting on me" LMAO Dan thinks it was the latter.... still made me chortle (LOVE that word)
But... yeah. Not too much in the works, but I am SO excited about the Tattoo Convention!!!!!!! Will have to include all kinds of pics after that!
Outta here for now... tired and I wanna snuggle!!!

Past few days... Twilight zone & the wicked Westside Eastside's

Now that I'm done...WINK

Been a few days, and I guess it's about time for me to fill everyone in on my thrilling existence.
So... I guess I'll start with Saturday (since I can't remember when I wrote last... eep!!). Didn't get up to too much... I am pretty sure Matthew and I went downtown... Yes... yes we did. I bought my hat at Rockit (YAY!!) so now I can stop having to go to the store to visit it!! LOL Can't really recall anything else that was too exciting about our trip.
Saturday night John came over when he was done work to hang out for a bit. He sent me a text message to let me know he was here and when I went downstairs to let him in I got one HELL of a surprise!!
I let John in the backdoor and behind him was a familiar face. And, not familiar in the sense that I had seen the face a hundred times recently... one that was from MY PAST (dun dun dun). It was someone I had been friends with when I was in the third grade!! Bria!! YAY BRIA!!! I knew she was living in Kingston, but... she lives IN my building and only one floor down!! So, I gave her like a big hug and promised to run down to see her later on!! LOL
John, Matthew, Dan and I started in on a few drinks, and a few hours later on, I went downstairs and grabbed Bria for a couple of drinks. We came up and played Sorry for a while... and contrary to Bria telling me I would win the second game... I TOTALLY lost!! LOL
But... yeah. So, we chatted about who we had seen since highschool and how Twilight Zone the whole situation was... along with how stunned Ashley would be when she found out.
Bria left after a couple of drinks, and then Dana (who was late 'cause she had to get her sister out of jail) and Kevin showed up and we just played cards and had some more drinks.
Next day (we're Sunday now) Dan, Matthew and I drove to Trenton to go to a family function (my Uncle Frank's birthday). Was good to see my family, but... telling them about my new job proved interesting... my Dad's side of the family is "mildly" religious, and I don't think a single one of them has a tattoo or piercing. My Grandmother's reaction was "it's just a fad, right?".
*shakes head* No, Grandma.. no. It's hear to stay. LOL
So, that was interesting to say the least. Stopped in to see Dad and Debbie's new place. Not too shabby... LOVE the spare room (my room when Dan and I go to stay!!). Place is a bit of a mess, but... it'll be pretty nice when Debbie has worked her magic.
Monday it was up early (well... seems early after having not having to really get out of bed for a week) to start my new job!! YAY EIKON!!!
Didn't do much on Monday... a lot of reading. Learned a lot about tattoo equipment. And I would suggest that if you're interested in the technical side of tattooing, check out www.eikondevice.com and www.machinegunmagazine.com (the magazine Eikon puts out). But... yeah. Not too exciting. I have my own desk with a Mac... work with some pretty cool people (YAY CINDY!!) and my boss is actually pretty darn cute!! LOL I know.. 'bout time one of us got one, right??
For lunch, I went to the resturant next to the shop. They DON'T take debit, so... the kinda creepy guy looks me up and down, asks if I work upstairs and offers to start me a tab. EW! (Creepy guy... not the tab. I thought the tab was kinda cool.) And then he calls me Amy... WTF!?
Monday night, Dan had a surprise for me. He picked me up and bought me a bright pink rose, a really cute card and then took me for a surprise picnic at Kingston Mills. Ain't he the cutest boy ever?? I KNOW you want one JUST like him. I mean, sweet, funny, caring, and a hottie... just for starters!!
Then we came and.... well.. you know.
Tuesday... again... work. If it can be called work. Brought in some pictures and whatnot to make my desk more homey. Read some more... went over product with Geoff (my boss) and Geoff also showed me how to use the program to order the equipment for the customers. Pretty neat... think I have a handle on it too, which is great. When Geoff was explaining how the needle configurations work he was trying to show me a certain configuration and like PUTS HIS FOOT ON the table, lifts up his pant leg and is telling me how many needles would have went into the configuration. LMAO And then he was like "Sorry for the self display." My boss was exposing himself. ROFL
Tuesday night, we grabbed Cindy and Kevin and went downtown. Went to the Toucan for a bit and then went out for Thai food. Was SOOOO good. Satisfied my Thai craving... at least for now...
Dropped Cindy and Kevin off at home and then rushed to the drive in and went to see The Omen. Not such a great flick. Guess it's basically exactly the same as the old movie, but... new deaths for the parents.... this is what I have been told anyways.
Today it was yet another day at Eikon. Couldn't get logged into the computer... stoopid Mac wouldn't work properly. Took Ben, Dean AND Geoff till like 3 or 4 to get it sorted out (I start work at 10). Did a lot of reading again today, went over new product with Geoff and then listened to some calls. All in all... pretty good work day.
Biggest thing was most definatley the end of the day. I decided to walk home, and since I was wearing boots by the time I had walked most of the way home (for like AN HOUR) I had to take off my boots and socks and walk in the grass. TOOK FOREVER (like an hour and a half) to walk home... and my feet STILL hurt!! Monster blisters! GRRR!
So, I get home, chill out for a bit. Dan got home and we went out to meet Annie and Jake for dinner. So, we go to Eastside Mario's (on the westside of town). We're waiting and waiting and WAITING. Had some drinks and some bread. After 48 minutes of waiting we STILL didn't have our salad... let alone our entrees. Annie was in the washroom and Jake, Dan and I decided that if we did not at least have salad that we would leave.
Annie comes back, and - surprise surprise.... no salad. We walked out, and went to the OTHER Eastside's. We were in and out in less time then we waited at the Westside Eastside's. We were SOOOO pissed (and hungry!!) and there was this girl that was waiting for like 10 minutes for a table and then she walked into the restaurant and got a hostess to seat them. (We called her the cleavage beast... seriously... you could like hide a city in there!! And her "companion" was questionable... we left still trying to decide if it was a man or a woman... will haunt us always I'm sure. LOL)
So.... lesson learned from this?? There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with an Eastside's on the west side of town.
So... I guess I'll start with Saturday (since I can't remember when I wrote last... eep!!). Didn't get up to too much... I am pretty sure Matthew and I went downtown... Yes... yes we did. QUITTING.... Annie, Nate, The Mess and I
Jun. 9th, 2006 | 02:13 pm
location: Couch
mood:
calm
music: Right this second?? Thirty Seconds to Mars - The Kill.
As you all know I recently got another job!! Woot woot! Eikon here I come!! Should see people's faces when I tell them that I will be selling tattoo equipment. PRICELESS!! Right after the face they usually say something about how cool that sounds. I FINALLY have a job other people (AND I) think is cool. LMAO How often can one person REALLY say that?? Well... at least most of the people I know... they don't tend to be too thrilled with their jobs.
SO, yesterday... in light of the new job (YAY EIKON!!)I decided to go into Startek and QUIT!! (Oh, yes... a day I had dream of for a year.... eww Startek!!)
The best part was the SHOCKED face of almost EVERY person I told. LMAO I walked into HR with my headset and asked Lisa if Jen (our HR manager) was busy. She was on a conference call (and I knew it would take forever if I waited). Eep. So, I turned to Lisa and was like, "Can I talk to you about handing in my headset and walking out?"
She turns around and is like, "Oh, no..." (I guess she thought something bad had just happened, and she looked SO concerned).
I told her that it wasn't anything that had happened that day, but that I had another job lined up that started on Monday. I must say, she looked more then a BIT relieved.
I completed my "exit interview" with Lisa... everything was on a scale of one to five. I gave my supervisor like 1's and 2's. LMAO. Hey, I have had issues with her, and so has everyone else on my team... so... serves her right... AND they did tell me to be honest!! Once that was all done, I popped my head into Jen's office (she had the door open and was on some kind of break) and told her I just wanted to thank her for all her help and whatnot.
She thought I just popped in to say that, and I was like, "It's been great working with you" and she says, "Come in anytime."
I almost laughed. "I can't do that when I don't work here." She gets out of her seat and is all "oh no" and I told her about the new job, and thanked her again.
I told Lisa I was gonna go say goodbye to my team (even though they are supposed to escort me out of the building). I ran out of the office, stripped and RAN THROUGH the call center shouting "I'm FREE!!!!!!"
Okay, Okay... I didn't actually do that. I went around to my team and a few other friends there and let them know what was going on. Because - if you don't God KNOWS what people will be saying... I mean, they could be all "Well... her and John were always talking about how Gillian needed the cobwebs cleaned out... maybe Taylor did the job and got canned." (If you don't know, don't ask... LOL).
Everyone on my team seemed surprised, but... I got lots of hugs... even Gillian hugged me (which could feed the rumours... lol) and then I walked out and practically did a happy dance on the way to the car.
Went home and just chilled out for a while... enjoying the nonstartekiness of my new existence!!!
Started talking to Other Annie (Yes... you CRAZY lady, that is you...)online and she said she was heading downtown for a bit and asked me to come... so I was, like "Yeah, Man" and she started talking to Nate about mooching a ride and then tells me he should be there at 1:30. At about 2:44ish they picked me up (Nate was CRAZY late). I didn't know what they were gonna be driving, so I am like watching each car that passes like a potential meal ticket (I seriously think one guy thought I was "looking for a good time" LMAO).
All of a sudden I see a car and hear "Ow ow" from inside, and they pulled into the parking lot. I climb in the backseat and marvel at the mess. Seriously... wait till you see this thing. LMAO. It even shanked me (later on... got a tack STUCK in my ass... hurt like a bitch too)!! Then I shut the door, and as Nate is turning around, the door comes open. LMAO - Other Annie had to get out and shut it and fix the door thingy, 'cause I guess it was broken.
So, we were off to a good start. Headed downtown 'cause Annie needed the bank and then to get $ for her cell. And, go figure.... the guy that serves her looks CRAZY familiar. Me being me, I was like, "This may seem a bit odd, but did you go to school in Brighton??" And he like pretty much looks me up and down (as much as the counter would let him) and is like, "Yeah.. YOU went to Brighton?? (Duh... no... I'm just psychic you idiot) Annie finishes everything up and he's like, "Have a nice day" to us a couple of times, so I look back and tell him to have a nice day to, and then he's like.... "And enjoy the uh... the weather" (Um, yeah... looks like it's gonna rain pal) So, I am LAUGHING when I get out of the store. (And, of course, when I tell Dan about it, he's like "so, he was flirting with you?" LMAO... Stoopid boy (not Dan *mental hug to Dan* the Roger's guy).
We JUST get out of the store when Annie noticed a friend of hers walking away, so, she calls her, and we start talking, and there is this conversation about the "Raver Ghost" and the art show... yadda yadda... there was also a sweat stain pic and convo... ewww.
We wandered a bit more downtown (highlight HAD to be the maple candies... ummm pancakes.. *drool*) and then went back to the car having a bizarre conversation about how much fun it must be to be a creepy old man. LMAO HAD to be there!
When we get to the car, Nate says something about how he needs gas, but left his wallet at home. And he could only find $2.93.... I was like "You HAVE to go to a gas station and ask for 2.93 in gas" He agrees, but tells me I have to delete the picture of "THE MESS". I told him I couldn't do that.
We get to Sunoco and get out of the car as the guy puts in the 2.93 in gas. ROFL.. can't make it funny really in words, but OMG shoulda been there... Good times good times!!
Nothing else noteworthy really happened until Dan got home (always the highlight to see the boy!! LOVE YOU HUNNY!!). Was doing something in the kitchen and he tells me that "I read your journal and I have to say... I feel closer to you too..." AW!! How CUTE is he!? Love that boy to death I tells ya!!
Had dinner, finished my book (The Accidental Virgin) and then Dan and I went for a walk down by the water and sat WAY out on the rocks all cuddled up for a bit. Was soooo calm down by the water and so quiet. One of my favorite places in Kingston (that I have found so far)... although it could be kushier... I mean... we were sitting on rocks. LOL Then we had to climb some fences and balance over the water before getting back to the car.
Not been up to much today. Watched KINKY BOOTS finally!!! YAY! I decided yesterday I could not wait any longer, and I didn't want to go see it by myself. So, I downloaded it and watched it after Dan left for work this am. It was pretty good. I've heard a lot of people say they heard it was really really good. And, as usually happens when there is that much hype, I was some what let down. I still enjoyed it, but... guess I was expecting more.
Now I'm just left with choosing another book to read... Later!

So, I guess it's time to do that whole catching up on my journal thing!
SO, Sunday once Dan got home we made our way to Swiss Chalet! I was SO excited! LOVE SWISS CHALET and I was SO looking forward to FREE cheesecake. Once we got in the door and were waiting to be seated Cindy kept talking about how it was me birthday and I couldn't help but laugh.
The hostess seats us (by this group of like a hundred elderly people.. Okay, it was like 8, but still.. come on!) and we place our orders a while later. Mmmm messy chicken sandwich. Well... guess I'm getting a little ahead of myself!
Cindy order this cheezy garlic bread that was amazing. When she was ordering it, she like, grabs the picture and says to the waitress "this is with me". LMAO And then she proceeded to talk about how it was her new boyfriend and she was going to break up with Kevin for it. GOD I wish I had taken my camera! SOOO FUNNY!!!
Anyways, we start eating our meals, and I get to LAST bite of my sandwich and there is a BONE in it! NOT COOL! I mean, come on.. weren't we all told as children that chicken bones are dangerous?! (Or is that just when you feed them to your dog *scratches head*)
When the waitress (WHO DIDN'T BRING ME MY WATER BY THE WAY *grumble grumble*) FINALLY comes back to the table, I told her about the bone. She doesn't look too happy about it, and then says "Well, it's better for you then processed." WHAT IS THAT!? Seriously!! First we get NO service and THEN she pulls this bs! WAS NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!!! And THEN she walks away to get the bills. Doesn't try to do ANYTHING to rectify it and then takes like a million years to get the bill.
I mean, she was only waiting on 2 tables... it's not like we're in a huge hurry, but COME ON!
I went up to pay the bill (EXTREMLY PISSED AT THIS POINT)and the lady there (of course) asks how everything is.
I told her about the bone (hey, she asked). And she's like, "That happens from time to time" WTF How do they train people at this place seriously! I told her I understood how it could happen, but that I did not like the way the waitress brushed it off. She asked if I wanted a manager and I said I didn't think it would get me anywhere so not to worry about it.
Right before we walked out, she handed me 2 coupons for free soup or salad. WAS THAT SO HARD FOR THE FIRST WAITRESS TO DO!? NO TIP FOR YOU!
GRRRR! Was not so happy with Iss Ha this time!
When we were on our way back home, we stopped in at Sunoco to see Annie for a minute. Didn't stay for too long, and there was nothing too note worthy.... but it WAS part of the night.
Then we went to Kevin's place to drop off Cindy. We went up for a bit and chilled with Randy watching silly videos online (his feat for the day, I guess), said hello to Kevin and headed out (with all the season of Gilmore Girls... courtesy of Cindy!! Which... Dan and I are now hooked to by the way!! LOL)
So, we got home and watched Gilmore Girls 'till about 4am and passed out. I know, what exciting lives we lead, right?
Monday isn't noteworthy until WAY later on. Dan and I just slept in and chilled out together all day. BUT - later on we had a not so pleasent conversation where we both ended up in tears. Not even kidding.
It all started when I asked who he was talking to on MSN. He says "Danya" like it isn't a huge deal. Which, to me it was because as far as I knew (when he last said anything about her...) he wasn't talking to her and thought she was a bitch (ex girlfriend... his story... don't ask). So, when he started talking to her a million things ran through my head. I didn't know what to say and I couldn't think properly, so I got up and came out onto the balcony to think.
A few minutes later I hear the door open and Dan comes and stands next to me. He asked if I was ok and I told him I was just thinking. He asked what I was thinking about, and I said "What do you think I am thinking about?"
We ended up talking about it for like 20 minutes, and I know Dan wasn't impressed that I was so upset about it. But, given the circumstances, I would say I was justified in my feelings. And, I mean... it's not like I don't trust him. I know he wouldn't do anything, and I told him that. "But I don't have to feel comfortable with it" was basically the bottom line. He goes on to tell me Danya and he had been talking here and there since they broke up.
I felt really decieved, because as far as I knew he still had issues with her. I told him that, and then he says something about how he didn't think it was a big deal... yadda yadda whatever.
He went back inside and I told him I was just going to sit and think for a minute. I'm sitting and trying to make sense of everything and why I am so upset about it, and I hear Dan grab his keys.
I was a bit puzzled, so I poked my head in the door and asked where he was going. He didn't say anything, and when I got back in the apartment he was walking out the door. I called his name, but he just left. I opened the door and called his name. He said he was going for a walk. I ran down the hallway and grabbed him. "Don't go."
So, he turns around looking so sad and says that he can't keep having this talk and that he shouldn't have to tell me who he talks to and when he sees them. Basically, he said he understood that I still have "fat girl syndrome" (don't ask me to explain it... was something I said to Dan one day when a situation similar to this came up) but that I have to feed her a brownie because he wasn't going anywhere.
We both came back into the apartment to talk it out more. I explained to him that the reason a few of his exes bother me when he talks to them is because he doesn't say anything about it. (ie visiting an ex and when I ask what he did saying "nothing" only to have it come out in conversation like 20 minutes later GRRR!) He said if it made me feel any better he would block anyone I wanted him to, because it wasn't worth me getting upset about.
I told him that I couldn't do that. I wouldn't tell him who he could be friends with, but... with some people it just felt like he was hiding something when he didn't tell me about it. He's learned to deal with me being friends with my exes... but I think part of that is knowing them. He has met most of the ones I still talk to, and is buddy buddy with them now. I will never have that with some of his exes, so.. they make me uncomfortable.
It was this big long conversation, and I didn't think there was a way around it. I touched his hand and said "If you can't see a way around this, maybe we need to take a break". He looked so scared and so horrified. I tried to explain that I didn't want to take one, but... if we couldn't work through this maybe it was for the best. He said he couldn't even spend one night without me.
So... we talked forever and cried together and held each other. It wasn't a fight... closest we've ever come to one, but... I really thought it could have been the end. (And this is just SOME of it... I can't get into all of it, 'cause I don't think I could relive all of it, and... a lot of it is really personal stuff that I just don't think I could share).
Anyways, we worked it out. I really think we are closer now. I never thought I would say that, but... I really think we are. We know how close it was to being over that it has pulled us together even more.
We all know what happened next, so... I won't elaborate. Let's just saw tender and amazing. That's it... I promise.
We fell asleep around 6... DAMN CAT WOULDN'T STOP MEOWING (Oh, yeah.... did I mention we found LeStat?? LMAO YAY).
Slept in incredibly late the next day. FINALLY GOT the call from EIKON... well... a message. So, I called Jeff (the manager guy) back and he told me I got the job. I'll be starting Monday!! YAY NO MORE STARTEK!!!!!
I did a happy dance and cuddled with Dan, and then called my Mom to tell her the good news. Think she was even happier to hear it then I was.
Didn't do much for the rest of the day (until later...). Stopped in to see John and went to Wal*Mart... see? Nothing exciting!
THEN Dan and I went on a date. We packed up all kinds of finger foods, blankets and pillows and had a picnic at the Kingston Mills. It was sooo nice. So quiet and serene. If you haven't been there... GO! GO NOW! LOL But, it was really romantic. We sat by the water and just enjoyed each other's company and then went for a walk along the water. Awwww! Best date night ever! I do have some good ideas!!!
Haven't been up to much today. Decided I wasn't going to work this AM and have been chilling out since.

11ish am Dan and I headed out from our place to grab Cindy. We made a quick stop at GT Boutique for some ceral and milk and were on our way back to the apartment. First things first, we had a cereal party (and if you don't know... don't ask... lol). Chatted a bit and then headed to THE GROCETERIA (as Cindy had been deprived and not been there before and Matthew needed ciggys). So, we SKIPPED to the store and checked out the NASTY selection in the freezer section before making our purchases. So... Matthew doesn't have ID and asked Cindy to buy cigarettes for him. She figured she wouldn't remember the pin number, she wrote it on her hand before we left. So, she steps up to the counter, armed with Matthew's debit card and says in a cheesy accent "Where are my cigarettes?" So, she asks the guy for the Number 7 and shows him her ID (which has a hard time with, 'cause it's Quebec ID and she had to point out her dob for him). So, he hands her the smokes and she tries to pay for them. She TRIES to use Matthew's debit card. First she looks at me and is like, "Do I have chequing or savings? I can't remeber. This is why I bring you with me everywhere...". So, I hit chequing for her, and she glances at her hand and types in the number. It comes up "Pin error". Matthew and I are trying to suppress laughter as she tries again to enter everything. And AGAIN it comes up "pin error". So, she hands the clerk HER debit card, and for some reason it comes up "pin error" AGAIN. At this, I must admit... we were all pretty stumped. She rummages in her wallet and finds her Visa and hands it to the guy. At this point you would probably think the cashier would be pissed, right? Oh, no. I think we was almost as amused as we were. He hands her back her Visa, advising that they don't take Visa. So, as a last resort, she pulls out a twenty, FINALLY pays and we exit the store in the throes of laughter.
We get back, and we're just chilling out and I start chatting with Annie online and she and I are talking about nothing in particular when for some reason Cindy and I start chatting about Dunnys at the same time. So, I tell Annie what Cindy and I are talking about, and she's like "you should get her to join the club". As she's saying this, I am already showing Cindy the Dunnys (if you don't know what they are... check out this site.. http://kidrobot.com/dunny/ ). And Cindy is JUST as pumped as Annie and I were about them when she and I decided to be Dunny Buddies. So, WE decide to have an adventure and go downtown on a Dunny Mission!! Annie couldn't come though *sad face*. Cindy and I started to get ready to go, and I was looking EVERYWHERE for my debit card, when Cindy finds it in her purse and Matthew makes the connection that Cindy tried to pay with MY card. LMAO So then, we walked downtown - Rockit Boutique bound. We get there, and we're soooo excited... we're on the brink of getting a DUNNY!! So we walk in, to the back case. And they have a sad display with 3 CRAPTASTIC DUNNYs (Dunnies?? lol) and 2 of them are the same. So - we left - Dunniless! DAMN IT! We checked out some other stores and headed back (among the stores we stopped at one where they actually had those stoopid unitard things and the shirt/short one piece thingies made out of terry cloth... ew!).
Came back and realized I forgot my keys. We walked around to the front of the building to buzz Matthew to let us in. No answer, so I buzzed my super. "Christine, it's Taylor. How are you?.... Can you let me in I locked myself out". LOL
And here we sit. We had fun talking about old room mates and boyfriends... you know how us girls will talk... and now we're watching Sorority Boys and waiting for Dan to come home (8:30 baby!) and then we're gonna go to Swiss Chalet and pretend it's my bday so we can get FREE cheescake! YAY cheesecake!
It ALMOST makes up for Cameron FORGETTING about he and I going out for Thai food! GRRR! AGAIN! Am I like a target for bailing or what? Aw... I guess I can forgive Cameron... goldfish syndrome my friend!
So, I am sure the Free cheesecake should make for an interesting time as well. For now... my cat is missing and I'm watching a flick. Hope we find him... Eep! Poor LeStat!!! Here Kitty Kitty Kitty...

It's the weekend at long last!! YAY! I know, I know... technically it started on Friday night for MILLIONS... Nay... Billions of people. I, however JUST started my weekend about 46... 47 minutes ago. And it has been THRILLING so far. LMAO.
Was SUPPOSED to be heading out to a flick with some chickas from work (YAY KINKY BOOTS!!). BUT - DANA (Yes, YOU DANA) bailed on me AGAIN. I don't mind if people decide they don't want to go... but don't bail on me two weekends in a row for the same thing! GR!
So, work today was... well.. work. Common answer, but... it's a pretty common job, what do you expect?? My first 5 customers (AT LEAST) were SO pissy... but I actually calmed them all down *brownie points and a goldstar for 'Lor*. LOL So, that was not too bad. Was fairly busy for the most part today... had enough time between calls that I got to finish my book (Azur like it... Wendy Holden) and got to start "Accidental Virgin". I know, great title! Never heard of it before, but.... so far, so good. How could one resist with a title like that? SERIOUSLY.
Later on I got like the SWEETEST old lady ever. She kept calling me sweetheart and saying that I had a pretty name and I must be a pretty girl. Awww she was SO great! Totally made my day. I even told her that, and she was all like, "I could call you everyday if you wanted." Awww if only I had an extension! LOL I DID tell her I could call her in a couple weeks though to see how everything with her phone service is. YAY SWEET OLD LADY!
And then, we had our team meeting, where John and I snickered about our supervisor begging... *snickers* oh, if only you were there! And then, we had like NO calls for 2 hours! Was a pretty sweetass way to end the day.
Now, I'm just chilling out. Started watching Toy Story with my bro, and then... in comes the boy and pops in his video game. UM HELLO I was watching that! GR! AND I asked him to pay a SPECIFIC amount on a bill for me from my account so I could pull out EXACTLY 100 dollars and not have to wonder how much I had in my account. So, he pays MORE then what I asked and now I can't do that! GRRRRRR! And I get to support him! GRRR How sweet is that? At least for him *grumbles*
Out for now.... nothing too exciting... maybe tomorrow?? I am looking forward to hanging with some pretty awesome friends... YAY CINDY AND CAM!!!

Gr work!
music: Metallica!!
Hey all... not that I have an audience or anything... at least at this point, but... thought it was about time I posted SOMETHING new! I mean, my last entry was HARDLY enthralling. LMAO
So, yeah! Been hating life (or parts of it... *cough* startek *cough cough*) SO much the past few days.
I know, me?? Doubtful. There is only one area that I can really complain about though. Work! Ew! And ANYONE else working for Startek would COMPLETELY agree, I'm sure.
Anyways... how stoopid ARE these people that call in? Seriously! I had this customer yesterday that implied I was stupid, would NOT let me try to help him, swore and yelled at me for the duration of the call! GR! And then he's all "Well... you're going to credit me X amount of dollars and I will pay X amount of dollars and if it's not what I want next month I am going to cancel my service so you'd better not call me! Note it on my account!" And then hangs up!
YOU IDIOT!! I mean, he was disputing one thing, and tied in 2 COMPLETELY different features that he was NOT going to pay for. So... after crying for like 20 minutes... effin butthole *grumble grumble* I credit him for the one thing and sent him a text message about the new balance. NO WAY I was dealing with him again!
AND to top it all off, when I went to speak to my supervisor about it, she made me feel like I had to defend myself for being upset, and then wraps it all up with a "Well... don't take it personally." KISS MY ASS YOU BITCH! That was EXACTLY what I was expecting, and she didn't even ask how I was... um.. yeah... I'm crying and telling me to NOT take it personally is NOT helping.
So, then I went and ranted to my friends about my supervisor and then went into HR to tell them exactly what her attitude towards her reps is like!
I'm sorry, but don't tell me to not take it personally when you became a supervisor after taking calls for a couple days. GRRRRR
After I talked to HR I was sitting with my buddy John and telling him how much it all made me want to quit (even more then I already DID). The HR manager walked in, so I was like, "If I quit.... say today... how long would it take for my vacation pay to come through?"
When she told me it would be with my next cheque I was SERIOUSLY thinking about handing in my headset and being like... "Well Eff that!"
And then today I have like the RUDEST customer ever... who basically yelled at me for 15 minutes for not listening to her (when she was not listening OR explaining herself well at all) and she hangs up after telling me to "Get some training".
Sometimes I seriously ponder if how these people would feel knowing they made a 22 year old girl cry because they couldn't go take some stupid issue out on a punching bag... or slit their wrists to end the'r miserable lives (well... I don't REALLY mean that much, but.... GR).
Enough ranting about work!!
Not too much note worthy has happened as of late. Trying to get back into writing... already have a title... "Questionable Gender" and I am just working out the story line and seeing where my jumping off point will be... I'll be sure to let you know. I love the title, and I know once I actually get working on it, I will be SO happy to be back writing. SO MANY IDEAS SO LITTLE TIME!!
Made an awesome friend on a website recently who KICKS ASS and amuses me to no end. ANNIE YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!! Yes, I know "dating sites" are lame, but... I met Dan (the love of my life) on one, and made some pretty awesome friends. If you haven't tried Casual Kiss, I would HIGHLY recommend it.
Hmmm... in other news, my brother has been living with me and the boy for a while now. He's an awesome guy and we have a lot of fun. Trying to set him up with a friend's sister. She is a lot of fun, and I told him she is pretty cute... so, here's hoping *crosses fingers*. Think they would be SO cute together!
Things with Dan and I are going well... as if that is a surprise! LOL Almost wish we could get in an actual fight so we could get it out of the way... but we always talk things through. I think it used to really bother me... until I got talking to Dan's Great Grandma one day, who said that her and her husband have never got in a fight!!! And they have been married for longer than I have been alive! SO YAY FOR THAT! The elderly give me hope for the future... how often do you hear that!?
Anyways.... dinner is ready *smells good mmmm* and Smallville awaits!

GR).
